Reboot. Recharge.

When all else fails, just shut it down for 5 seconds and turn it back on. Just like new!

Spin cycle 08/23/07

Based on the insane class I gave last week, I wanted to tone it down a bit for this week and give a more "mellow" ride. I picked music that was upbeat in tempo, with a backbeat for the students to grab on to. We climbed 2 20 minute, gradual hills, with a break in between. I actually used a bunch of Ace of Base songs (didn't even know we had them on our music server....they weren't on my ipod). remember them? A modern ABBA....

Here's the list:

1. Solar Spirit - Asiatronic
2. All That She Wants - Ace of Base
3. Elation - ?, don't know artist, came off a compilation
4. The Sign - Ace of Base
5. Viva a Povo Brasileiro - Bazeado
6. Fatmazeau - Bagatelle
7. Just 'n' Image - Ace of Base
8. DJambee - Althea W
9. Stomp - The Brothers Johnson
10. Beautiful Life - Ace of Base
11. Hit Tha Flo! - Breakestra
12. Drifted - Groove Armada
13. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt 1 - The Flaming Lips

Today's class was the hardest class I given in a long time...in fact, it might have been the hardest class I have given, ever.

Here's the list:

2. Are You Gonna Go My Way - LK
3. Alive - PJ
4. Beautiful Day - U2
5. Dig In - LK
6. Better Man - PJ
7. Mysterious Ways - U2
8. Always On The Run - LK
9. In Hiding - PJ
10. In a Little While - U2
11. Let Love Rule - LK
12. Where Are We Runnin? - LK
13. Around The Bend - PJ
14. Wishlist -PJ

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome.

Spin Cycle 08/02/07

Whirlwind mind, that's what I've got going on. It's my last day today at Genzyme. Damn, I don't know what to feel.
It's crazy.

Anyway, You know, a little bit of Poison won't kill you....take a look:

1. This Love - Maroon 5
2. Darlin' Do Not Fear - Brett Dennan
3. Maneater - Nelly Furtado
4. Hey There Delilah - The Plain White Ts
5. Harder to Breathe - Maroon 5
6. Shut Up and Drive - Rhiana
7. Nothin' But A Good Time - Poison
8. All Good Things (Come to an End) - Nelly Furtado
9. Dig - Incubus
10. Promiscuous - Nelly Furtado + Timbaland
11. Wake Up Call - Maroon 5
12. The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani
13. It's Not Over - Daughtry
14. Free - G.Love
15. Infatuation - Maroon 5
16. Only Fooling Myself - Kate Voegle

When Poison came on, 3 of my riders had an immediate connection to it. I could see it on their faces. And that makes it all worth it.
So, I've been thinking. If anyone out there in cyber land who's looking at this has any music suggestions at all, please feel free to email me them. I'm always looking to keep it real, you know?
